Still lives go good in dining room, landscapes look good anywhere. Abstracts are modern art, Abstract Expressionism never really went away. Impressionism and the Impressionist movement are part of modernism. It’s time to put the paint back on canvas again.

Famous Artists.
Prior to the Renaissance was some good art the changes to trade and culture led to major changes during that period. The changes during this time gave us our most influential painters and the emergence of what we know as fine art which affected our consciousness and thinking for hundreds of years. From Michelangelo, Titian, da Vinci, Raphael, Botticelli, later artists have learned technique and style.

Technology would create the great portrait painters of of their time Rembrandt Rubens Fragonard. Great. Savard would follow, rococo, neoclassicism, Romanticism and great landscape art, Turner and Constable. Art follows technology from the lens to the camera, from an artist profession as portrait painter to the loss of profession when the camera was invented. In some ways, this led to Impressionism which was a revolt from classicism but also a reaction to the camera. This revolution led to some of her most famous art and most famous artists, Monet, Dégas, Cézanne, Renoir. The post impressionists, especially van Gogh, and Matisse, created works of astounding beauty. Cézanne is a bridge to the modernism of Picasso and Braque which form the framework for modern art. The surrealists Dali and Magritte and Ernst mirror existentialism. The abstract expressionism movement, Pollock and Rothko broke art into color and emotion. To counter this pop art was created by Warhol, Hockney and Lichtenstein and others. Contemporary painters like David Hockney or Gerhard Richter are renown for exploration and are known for both representational or abstract art.The art of the future, and the influential artists of the future our original artists currently on the Internet. Today’s Cézanne is here somewhere and is influencing artists without recognition. The images seeing when scrolling the Internet go by rather quickly and seem so similar in style and color. The influential artist of our time will stand out in this crowd and the scene.

The History of Original Fine Art
Early man used charcoal from a fire and pigments from the earth to create the first modern art. The influence of these artists can be seen today and artists such as Picasso have drawn from their images. Art is always been used for practical purposes, on pottery, murals and decoration. The recognition of any art, as something called “fine art” came after objects of art had been around for a long time and the distinction between the value in aesthetics and history of individual pieces became apparent.

Obviously any art we kept has more value than art we didn’t keep. Fine art is what has been defined and is part of a subjective interpretation and can be nothing else. Artists such as Vincent van Gogh and Jasper Johns break down barriers and help to include within the discussion fine art, alternate techniques and materials which are included in the genre. Fine art is subjective and some opinions mean more. Fine art is always determined by the collector and not by the artist. It is the collector who has always been the benefactor of the term, of the styles, and of the final acceptance by the public of what is fine art. Original art for sale is not subjective. Our art is original art for sale. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and fine art is in the mind. When buying art it is best to please oneself, but people do hire decorator’s who bring an astute taste and experience.

Subject Matter Styles and Techniques in Fine Art
Original art for sale, one wonders when that first happened. Certainly by the time of the Renaissance, artists were selling their wares in the street. Original art for sale includes portraits, landscapes, still life’s and scenes from life as well as abstract art and expression. Art, by its nature, is a historical event, it is dated with a certain time and represents its time in aesthetic an appeal. The techniques and materials affect the style. The properties of the material affect the art.

Acrylics dry faster than oil paintings, this affects the technique. Lighter colors with watercolor cannot be created on top of darker colors but this can be achieved with oil. The very differences in paint create different textures and different looks in art. Egg tempura for example creates a much different look than oil. Oil paints have a translucency which is not apparent and acrylics, yet acrylics yield brighter colors which are harder to achieve in oils.Subject matters are sometimes standard, such as portraits, but often, styles change. Artistic styles are a reflection of aesthetic values of the times. The subject matter for art, at first was a representation of the animals hunted by man. In a sense this led to art of a religious nature. The fine artist found employment with the Renaissance church, then the king, and then became the portrait painter for wealthy merchants and royalty. The artist worked by commission. The customer usually decided the subject matter. After the revolution of the Impressionism movement, the artist had more freedom and a more original, individual approach led to more beautiful expressions of the heart and soul of the artist.
